Community Manager | April - June 2017
Launched in May 2017, Fundamental was the first crowdfunding campaign to raise money and awareness for the scientific research into psychedelics and mental health. The passion project of Rodrigo Niño, founder/CEO of The Assemblage and Prodigy Network, the campaign ran for six months and raised more than $150,000 for these four groundbreaking studies:
Psilocybin treatment for end-of-life distress in patients with life-threatening cancer, led by NYU School of Medicine’s Dr. Stephen Ross
Psilocybin treatments for addiction, led by NYU School of Medicine’s Dr. Michael Bogenschutz
MDMA treatment for PTSD patients, led by Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) founder & executive director Dr. Rick Doblin
Microdosing with LSD for cognitive enhancement, led by Beckley Foundation Founder & Director Amanda Feilding
Along with growing Fundamental’s digital presence through email newsletters, social media content, and community management, I cultivated press coverage, built relationships with donors, researchers and other stakeholders, organized and spoke at events, moderated panels, and ran a table at the Horizons: Perspectives on Psychedelics conference.
Copywriter | July 2016 - April 2017
At SapientRazorfish (formerly Razorfish, now Publicis Sapient), I primarily worked on the Mercedes-Benz USA and smart USA accounts, writing and producing content for social media, marketing and service emails, consumer and dealer websites, financial services, and corporate communications. Click here for examples of my work.
Copywriter | October 2014 - July 2016
At ROAR Groupe (also now Publicis Sapient), I created and helped execute digital and integrated campaigns for JPMorgan Chase & Co and its Chase Freedom, Sapphire, Ink, Ultimate Rewards and Retail Banking lines of business. This primarily included direct marketing emails, website copy, social media posts and banner ads for product launches, customer updates, new service announcements, and special offers. I also routinely presented work to clients and contributed to new business pitches. Click on the logos for more.
Of course, copywriters only as good as the art directors and grapher designers they work with. Luckily, I've gotten to work with some great ones:
Joanna Brown, Mia Feitel, Tim Ferguson, Jenn Lau, Abigail Harris-Shea, Alec Kleinfeld, Derek Montgomery (ACD), Ivor Noyek
Associate Social Media Strategist | October 2013 - September 2014
While at this groundbreaking and innovative digital agency, I was fortunate to work on behalf of organizations and brands advocating for progressive causes — composing strategy briefs, creating content calendars, writing social media copy, and pitching fundraising campaigns. I also analyzed client platforms and performance and made recommendations for improvement, and worked closely with the paid media and analytics teams to provide quantitative measurements.
